Columbia TN Homeowner Fixes Dishwasher Leak Water Damage Fast

When we received a call from this Columbia, TN homeowner after they found their floor soaked from a dishwasher leak, we knew we had to act to prevent any further damage.

The kitchen featured an LVP floor that was peeling up due to the water and needed to be removed so the subfloor could be properly dried. Once the LVP was removed, a Dehumidifier was placed with Air Movers to properly circulate that air and quickly dry the subflooring. In addition to placing drying equipment, the mitigation team placed an Air Scrubber to clean the air by pulling in contaminated air and filtering it through a HEPA filter. The HEPA filter traps particles such as dust, mold spores, bacteria and debris.

Once the sub flooring was fully dried, the equipment was removed and the homeowner was all set to begin the rebuild process. Due to the quick response of Tennessee Water and Fire, mold growth was prevented, damage was minimized and the homeowner’s kitchen could be returned to preloss condition without the need to perform any further mitigation.

If you find yourself in a situation where water has affected your home, do not hesitate to call Tennessee Water and Fire. We would be happy to come out and perform a free inspection.
